Is anybody going to this event this year.

My car will be doing the Feature Stage again but I won't be driving.
The organisers contacted me some time ago to ask if I would allow Pentti Airikkala to drve the car if they invited him!
They have now confirmed he is one of the guests and will drive my car on the stage.
I am hoping to be the passenger

I'm very honoured for him to drive it but concerned at the same time,I hope he likes the car I converted to an exact replica of his 1979 RAC car.
I'm sure he will tell me as I'm told he speaks his mind!

Nice one Steve.

As per one of the threads below - I once gave Pentti a lift. He was very late for scrutineering (in fact he was in his HS) and having left the car at Parc Ferme I took him back to the hotel. It was probably the fatest he went all week-end! (no, only joking).

I have been busy getting the car ready for him I have just had a ZF lsd disc braked axle fitted,and you boys think escort parts are expensive
Carbs have been tweeked with new ram pipes and filters,works breather sytem fitted to engine and engine bay rewired, exhaust refitted to stop the Janspeed blowing where it goes 4 into 1.
I hope is starts on the day

I will be going again. Ita top day out well worth going. Some great cars last year. Plenty of old and new and a great range of cars.

Er,

The Castrol something - Castrol 75 or 76- run by W&SSCC from Aberystwyth - just before the RAC rally, and most of the works cars would come out and practice - I think Pentti won it that week-end.

Don't forget our pm earlier this year!
