  • Nat Day Highs n Lows

Day started crap as my fuel pump kept cutting out , good old hit it with a spanner trick got me there in the end.

day got better when parked up with all the others and chatting with peeps, managed to buy two fuel pumps, one std pinto mech pump and one electric pump, fitted the electric pump, checked it all work and thought I would have a trouble free trip home

Nipper, Bish and I all headed off together refueled and all was well , but a few miles down the M1 as I was overtaking a lorry the new pump also cut out , leaving me to fick the hazards on and coast to the hard shoulder , Nipper n Bish stopped with me .
Checked all connections and pump was fine and pumping, so we all headed off again.
Only for it to cut out again a bit further down the M1, just before Jct22. .
I said to Nipper n Bish that I will come off the M1 and call breakdown to recover me and told them to carry on as they had a long drive ahead of them both.
Pulled into the services at Jct22 and thought I would fit my std pinto fuel pump that I had also bought at Nat Day. but didn't have enough right size fuel line with me to bypass the electric pump , so decided to fit my old nacked fuel pump as I knew all I had to do was just listern for it to stop ticking then pull over and give it a hit, well I got in at around 22:30 last night after stopping about what felt like 20-30 times on the hard shoulder .

High point of the day was meeting up with so many and the offer of Nipper n Bish to stay with me , but I decided to let them go on there way and almost had to force them to go.
This is what makes this a big n happy place to be as people will put themsleves out to help others, big man love to Nipper n Bish
