I've very little time for them, even though many have Irish roots and connections. They give the country a bad name, but wow be tide anyone who critices them publicly. The p.c. brigade are at pains to prevent any racial stereotyping, and the Pikey's themselves are a well organised pressure group, with a couple of qualifed lawyers in their midst.
