Yup £185 now and next year and £210 for 2010 same as a mk11.

Thinking of taking the mex to nearer standard As I already have most of the bits already Gary.

Car would still be out for things like the Lakes & Kames etc

agreed. about 7yrs ago i fancied a change. sold the mk2 i had and bought a subaru sti thing. bad move. only had it 3 month , and sold it to buy another mk2. cost a fortune to run it too.
park the mex up, and you could buy a little track car for some fun, for not much money. 205 pug gti or something will be good on track, and cheapish too.

Already got a Audi A3 2.0 tdi Paul & a Lupo Gti so a little bit spoilt.

Just fancy a change, not selling the mk11 as i know it would be difficult to replace but taking her back to standardish and putting the money for the bits towards a evo.

If I sold the mex I know I would regret it and be out trying to get another within weeks

Looking very like the parts will be up for sale after the weekend

I have been offered a better option, my mate wants to build an all singing dancing Escort, sequential box etc etc , he has no interest in the club or shows or owt so he reckons I can have it when I want it , hope its built in time for the Lakes 09.

Was a lucky find Dave, a proper box, you get 45mph in 1st

Was rebuilt 2 years ago with new bearings and syncros etc

Second and third have also been changed so making it a very good gearbox without the assosiated noise of a straight cut box.

                              2.54:1. 1.66:1. 1.255:1. 1:1.
