Not long back in , 589 miles in a MK2 is enough for anyone to take, couldn't manage the last 50 so my wife had her first ever drive of a MK2.

There was a rumour going around that I was in a foul mood today ....

I driven just under 350 miles as had to do a detour on the way there and the way back to pick up/drop off my lad in Wrexham but pleased with the way the car ran and got approx. 28 mpg and that was pushing it on the way home so was pleased with that

Not looking forward to the long drive up to Perth for the Mcrae Rally, as it will take about 5hrs but will be more than worth it!

Slept like a baby last night after a very long day yesterday

Did a fuel calculation on mine last week after a 200 mile run and it was good, just did mine for this weekend and it comes out to just over 40mpg

5 speed, 38dgas , standard everything else and driving with light throttle carrying speed if you know what I mean.

                            Did my calculation

                            Fuel used £105.00 (94.35 Litres = 20.7 Gallons)
                            Miiles Covered 537

                            Gives me 25.9 MPG

5 Speed, DCOE 45's and following Ruddy until Penrith (30 miles from home)

I did push it a bit for the last 30 miles averaging between 90 - 100 and at one point the speedo was touching 120
                            Cheers
