Happy birthday to yours Martin. We will have to get them together one day although the distance between us might make it a tad difficult.

After all this time I still love it and love driving it. It's nowhere near the condition of most RS's on here but it's been used and used hard.
My dream is to do a full resto on it at some point but two front end crashes has taken it's toll along with the 40 or so road rallies it has done winning 2 outright. Apart from the repairs to the front end it is all still original.
I have had lots of good times with it and a few not so good but would never sell it. So here's to the next 30 years. God I've just worked out I'll be 87 by then so I might just be driving a bit slower by then, but not a lot I hope.
Phil.
Your car has just brought memories back of my beloved first RS. On 22/9/79 I bought my 15 month old Signal yellow RS2000 16.000 mls, S Reg, from City Speed in Gloucester, down the road from you. Cost me £3550. I had many years of great motoring, only to be stolen in 1987 and never to be seen again. I have another one which finally replaced it in 1991 which is run on the road and I thoroughly enjoy. But there is nothing like my first RS. In thirty years time I will be 85, and so not far behind you, so all the best to the next thirty years of RSing, mate!
