The 2008 Colin McRae Forest Stages Rally will take place on September 27th and once again be based in its Perthshire home.
As a tribute to Colin McRae from the old skool escort owners I have been in touch with the organisers of this event to see if we can have display of old skool cars.
I am delighted to announce to you all that they have today sent me some news regarding a display of cars and I have had the go ahead for 50/70 spaces in the race course car park which is on grass and adjacent to the main service area of the rally. There will be a small charge for the display to which we will be donating to one of Colin’s charities. All participants of the display will receive an award for displaying their car on the day. This weekend’s event will hopefully bring to a close what has been an excellent year for the old skool fords shows up and down the country.
All cars will have to be in place in the display area at the race course by 7.30/8.00am Saturday morning.
I think this has the making of a never to be repeated weekend with the line up of old skool rally drivers and cars, it will be as if they have turned the clock back 30 years for one of the best tributes to one of the best rally drivers of all times, Colin McRae.

So the format for the weekend is as follows:
Camping at Scone campsite next to the Perth racecourse Friday night so we are all ready and able for day’s rallying next morning at 7.30 /8.00 am sharp. Back to the Campsite for Saturday night’s bbq and alcohol refreshments.
This is an official camping and caravanning club site with 170 camping spaces right next to the Rally HQ and rally start and I recommend you book as soon as you can if you want to be a part of this Old Skool weekend.

A scenic drive over to Crail Raceway to the Fast Ford Crail thrash and retro day. The drag strip will be open along with the drift oval all types of ford fun from old skool to nu skool will be on display. You can enter your car in the show-n-shine trophies for all classis.
