Listen, I know they are shi*e , I went out with a gallon of petrol and box of matches to sort out a rough running problem on my first one, couldn't bring myself to do it, couple of days later the swine set itself on fire anyway
But, I like them, liked them before Escorts, and its a very very close call which I like best. I am gonna have another, with any luck I will still be able to keep an RS as well.
That TR7 rally clip is John Buffam in the states I beleive in one of the first rally cars. Been reading a new book recently and it details some of the history of the Speke factory in Liverpool, there were occasions of the staff striking because of a smell of cat pish in the plant, there were guys getting measured for clothes in curtained off areas under the production line, not to mention the amount of stuff that sprouted legs and walked out of the plant ... classic was a manger asked a guy why he was hitting the interior trim with a hammer, the guy sez the tin said "impact adhesive"
