Swore at my car today

I hated my car this morning

My MK1 is needed for Sunday to go to Heaves for a show.

I had a new prop shaft delivered Tuesday, and needed to be fitted this morning.

Had it booked for MOT at 3pm

50 yards down the road from mine, the clutch cable snapped.

It's getting used to a piggy back now


Took it to the mechanic (Dale off here). Fitted the prop shaft in a jiffy. Ordered a clutch cable.



Whilst waiting for the clutch cable, I cleaned underneath





At last.....the clutch cable arrived

But it was too short

Thought I was going to have to cancel the MOT, and no show on Sunday

I picked the phone up at 2.25 to phone the MOT which was due at 3pm. Then parts man arrived with 2 different cables, one of which was OK

Dale whipped it on, minutes to spare

Took it for MOT......



AND SHE PASSED

Overjoyed......up and down day, but all worked well in the end. At least the clutch cable went today and not Sunday Car drives like an absolute dream now....no more vibration...

Massive thanks to Dale for his positive outlook in times of doom and gloom. Also big thanks to Neilm for making a propshaft so quickly

out in the mk2 with the ladyfriend, left the mk1 at home, enough fun for one day, we had some more fun after this pic too
