I would say that pre-custom RS2000's are more desirable than post '78 models because they have Black rolltops, black headlining, green tinted windows etc as standard. To go even further I'd say the most desirable would have to be group1 RS's. Colour wise, Java Green, Signal Amber, Midnight Blue perhaps the most rare..?

I know lots of people have fetishes with White Pre-customs - must be a 'professionals' thing!

Most common has to be V-reg ones..seems to be loads? I also cant stand the AWFUL rear fog lights that they have to have. I personally think that the Drivers remote mirror also looks ridiculously too large for the car and really ruins them - much prefer the standard type - again as found on pre-custom..I think!

Just my two cents mind you...

Erm...there's nothing wrong with the professionals white Rs2000 - thats the point, it was great - hence the fetish.

                        Most desirable ?

Low mileage, one or very few owner cars with all their history still with them seem to be really easy to sell for big money - Colour and spec don't seem to come into it too much if you can tick the other boxes.

One thing that seems to turn people off is a Sunroof - even though when the cars were new they were desirable - strange how fashion changes !

Personally I'd like a really early FORD badged / black roll top trim RS2000 in Black.

                        Most common ?

Late T and V reg Customs in red, yellow, and white seem to have survived the best - I don't know what the production figures for each year were though - perhaps there were many more made in 78 and 79 ?
                        Cheers Rob.

Most common colour has to be venitian red, closely followed by black and yellow.
Favourite colour has to be the one i have (obviously!!),but again closely followed by riviera blue and signal green.
Back in the day both tuscan and cordaba beige where extremely unpopular, but today i quite like them because of their rareity and 70's kitch.I mean.....how many cars are beige nowadays??

                            RS2000's!!!!!

I reckon the X Pack MK2's were the toughest! But I have to say the Aussie Mk2's are the best'cause we got the 4 door as well as the normal 2 doors.

I've had my 2 door for nearly 20 years and of course I've had trouble with engines and gearboxes, but if you want a classic, you have to put up with it! It is great fun p****** off the V8 boys! You don't need an extra 4 cylinders to have fun! It only adds weight to the power to weight ratio, not good!
