to zero in two pairs of undies Two u bolts sheared to day on my van while loaded with about 1600kgs, thought i was going to stuff it big time the n/s rear corner was scraping on the road, blood lucky i was'nt doing 70 on the motorway and over loaded or could have been serious, i'll post some pics up tomorrow, as i've never heared of then snapping before, anyone else?

Yeah seems that way, was going to tax my bike but dont think i'll bother this year, or though i do do a lot of miles so am probably ready for some misshapps

Just cos the mechanic said he nipped them up, he may well have torqued 'em up.
It should be on the service schedule anyway.
I would never do up U bolts with a windy, they are made of brittle steel and should only ever be carefully torqued up by hand.
All the other faults are typical Fiat, gearboxes packing up and alternators too, by a Tranny or a Sprinter
