Helped marshall lastnight on the 1000 Lanes Road Rally in South Wales run by Heads of the Valley Auto Club HOVAC.
Fantasic! marshalled on a Time control [ITC ] in Walters Arena! in the day time! in the forestry that they use on Rally GB ! I must say we could see the cars come into view sideways
as they entered sight off a fast 60 left and then 100 metres down into our control then off again 100 metres hairpin right down hill, into open 90 left and off down a straight, it was as slippery as hell on the forest tracks, as it rained all evening, but it was fantasic to watch and they did two loops to start so we saw them twice come through our control .
After the early evening Forestry sections they went back to the start to plot and off then to do 200 miles of Lanes.
It was a round of the Welsh road rally championship and their were some fast boys with so fast Escorts I can tell you !
