Here is mine

Bought in 1985 when I was 15 for about £600 A 1.1 L MK2. I also fitted a genuine mex spoiler (£25) quarter bumpers, rear spoiler, suspension, brakes, lowering blocks wheels and rolltops.

Engine out ready for a 1760 crossflow

Colour is peppermint sea green.

Depends what you mean by car

You must remember in 1983 I had passed my motorbike test at 18 but NOT my 4 x wheel car test

It was cold in the middle of winter and I had to get to work etc

So my first "car" was a 750 Reliant Robin - Bright Yellow with white Weller Steel wheels and 165/70 x 10 tyres, Mirror tinted windows and a sound system that was years ahead of its time - lol lol lol lol lol oh and a spoiler on the roof

Thankfully I have no photos to prove this memorable event

hand painted with a roller t-reg vauxhall viva, £300 was paid, you did not need to open the boot to see inside as the tops of the rear wings had rusted through, the prop fell off after a week, took it in the forest up the cimla too, gj will know where that is, awsome mota, after that came my first mex

mk1(of course) 4dr 1300e in miami blue, one of the only cars i have restored, remember buying 4 mtrs of blue beta cloth for £30 new sill protectors from fords and loads of other new bits and this was only 1988 - shit 20 years ago

3 months later, a trip to ian harwoods and a few hundred quid lighter and hey presto! a 2.1 pinto...etc
