  • Advice on value please

This is a "genuine" mk1 Mexico but was reshelled around 12 years ago into a genuine secondhand type 49 shell which is still in very good condition, it has the correct differences, ie: stone deflector, top plates and strengthening etc. Now the vin says 1601cc (correct for a Mexico) and the colour it is now which is not an RS colour but is a Ford colour. The avo plate states a different colour. The exterior panel and paintwork is really good but the interior needs work to door cards, carpet and trim. The head lining is perfect and has the correct steering wheel. The wheels are mk2 RS alloys. One last question, was the stone deflector fitted to all avo type 49 shell or were the later cars without but with the bolt holes in the boot floor, any thoughts guys?

The stone guard was an option on type 49 shells, but all shells had the unf studs welded into the floor,

the stone deflector was standard fitment till late 72 on all the rs and avo escorts but all the rs avo escorts had the bolts in the boot for location of the same.
