since when i can remember the Ford Dealership Forecourt used to be like mecca to me ? the early range of the mk2s RSs mexicos and harriers ! onto the RS1600i XR3i and XR2 then the sierra three door whaletale cosworths ! remember the advert on telly ? it was silver blasting along ! i thought it was something from outer space !! then came the Escort cosworths and the fourdoor sierra cosworths ! proper exciting cars and then NOTHING it was over ? was it the insurance companys who ended it all ? because of the amount of cars that were getting stolen ? i think this did have a major impact on the cars ford were producing ! i think at one time they wouldnt even insure an Escort cosworth ! now when i go past a ford dealers i dont even look ! apart from the focus RS ! nowt else doing . I used to go down on a weekend and mooch arround the showroom tyre kicking ! Shame its done with ! hope they turn it arround and start all over again !

Just Think Of The Mini New Fiat 500 Selling In Droves
Retro Style Bikes Are The Same

Cars have become too sophisticated, complicated and expensive, due to a race the japs started in the 70's. The japs were always ahead of the British market because of the endless amount of gadgets they introduced.
Do we all need these gadgets. So much to go wrong and so much to spend to put them right. I have often wondered, why they don't introduce a car with a simple mechanical setup similar to the rear wheel drive Fords of the 60's and 70's, that we can all maintain again. Modern improvements can always be incorporated as pricing can still be reasonable, and cheaper in some cases as engineering techniques have improved.
Turned out with a price to suit, this could be really attractive.
