makes sense but doubt if the majority will do it,

See what you think and pass it on if you agree with it

I use Tesco whenever I can, but anything to stop this price increase is worth a try.

69p a litre? I think he must be high on petrol fumes.

Once the other forecourts realise the monopoly they now have they will put their prices up - petrol is price inelastic as there are no substitutes.

These protests dont work, you are wasting your time (but nice to see someone trying I suppose), OPEC need to increase production to lower prices, but the problem with doing this is that too many industries hinge on oil prices, it would cause far reaching ramifications by simply producing excessive amounts of oil - it's a fine balance.

The government could reduce tax on it but they wont because they would lose too much money.

Sorry to be a killjoy buts that's the way it is.

A few floors to this plan:-

Esso (ExonMobile) and BP are not the same company

The e-mailer must assume that that each oil company owns all its own up stream assets (crude oil drilling etc) and down stream assets (refineries, petrol stations, lube oils etc ) .

BP sold its refining assets (Grangemouth and Croyton), so it sells cude oil to a refinery then buys refined products back from the refinery just like all Garage forcorts do. So BP or Esso will still be making £££££ from selling there cude.

                Nice idea though....

The government need to do their bit as well by reducing the tax on fuels, or else there is a chance the country will end up in the pits! If they don't then we can show our disaproval by not voting for them again.

Saw this a while ago and I've stuck buy it, however its not going to come down and once we allowed it to break the £1.00 a ltr mark we opened the door to massive rises. Added to this the U.K is a very small part of the market where fuel sales are concerned. The only way prices will fall is if demand falls and that will only happen with the production of alternative fuels/transport. Face facts we is being rogered! No offence ment to any one called Roger.
