I'd say no as mine is fitted with Lucas H4's from new with the metal backplate and spring setup. I managed to find some new like-for-like replacements from Kev Curtis 5 years ago with blue H4 stickers.

Maybe just the early F.O.R.D badged cars with this setup?

Dave Robbo's RS1800 also has the same lights.

I'd be interested if anyone has a non-touched very late Mex if Carellos or Lucas lamps were fitted?

mine is a may 78 model...so pretty late but still had another 6 odd months to go before production stopped...mine is fitted with carrellos & ive got 2 brand new sets, 1 boxed in ford boxs and also a 2nd hand set....just in case
