  • RSOC Yokohama deal

    What is the point ???

Cant see any advantages at all from buying the tyres through the RSOC deal with yokohama.

take for example the yoko s306 185/60/13 (same tyre as i have on my car)

    RRP £35.62

    RRP inc VAT £41.85

MEMBER PRICE £35.57 excl VAT and delivery

so add VAT and delivery and it comes up as £59.29

then take it to a tyre fitting place to have it fitted to a rim ..at least £5 then have it balanced at least another £5, if you have a tyre off the local tyre place fitting and balancing is free

so that works out at £70

I purchased a yoko s306 2 weeks ago from local tyre place and it cost me £47 fitted and balanced .

Hmmm think i know where i will be getting my tyres from

Well done RSOC for trying but surely this is a no go unless i have got my figures wrong , then if so i stand corrected

I got my 185/60/13 A539 supplied and fitted with stainless valves for £45 a corner.

And a free Yoko Motorsport jacket!

A single 539 on this deal will cost you £58................

And then you still have to get it fitted!

Well all I can say and will only say on this is I set the deal up with Yokohama got all the figures with the relevant paperwork and pictures of the products I passed it to the National Committee Members as I am no longer on the top table and I wrote the article for RN although the article has changed a little from when I wrote it I assume edited by members of the top table.
That was the end of my involvement in the whole issue and from what I have read all I will say is something has changed as it is not what I expected.

Appreciate all your efforts LL, but the deals seem to be aimed at Cosworth/Focus cars and forgetting the small tyres ie. 13"

Why have they changed the deal for the worse if the RSOC are wanting to be seen to be helping support its members
              Cheers
