Below is the list of classes for the 2008 RSOC concours. The main problem being the dwindling number of cars being entered. Old Skool cars up against Cossies & Focus RS etc is bollocks, but this is what was voted in @ the AGM

EXPERT CLASS ( all trailered cars )

      1 CLASS - 5 placings

      STANDARD CLASS

      2 CLASSES

      COSWORTH
      NON COSWORTH

      3 placings each class

      INTERMEDIATE CLASS

      3 CLASSES

      PRE 1981
      POST 1981
      COSWORTH

      3 placings each class

      MODIFIED CLASS

      2 CLASSES

      COSWORTH
      NON COSWORTH

      3 placings each class

      NOVICE CLASS

      2 CLASSES

      UNDER 50,000 miles
      OVER 50,000 miles

      2 placings each class

To be honest guys I'm not a member of the RSOC and never have been, but just following whats been said about that club over the last few months and the obvious in fighting and clicks that are apparent I don't understand why anyone would bother with it.

Looking at the quality and originality of some of the cars (Gerards,Grums and Eddies cars to name a few) that were present on Sunday how can a modified cossy be remotely compared, let alone win.

Don't get me wrong I've owned a cossy myself and am not against them but how can you accurately compare them.

Obviously I'm missing something and it may be ignorance on my part but I just don't get it.

i have been on the scottisholdskools site and 1 lad has pics of gerards RS1800 and its unreal wot stanard that car is,as i said earlier its time 4 old skool to take over and leave the rsoc to it and see how smart they are when they have no mark1 or mark2 members at all.

thanks for the comments lads,i really appreciate each and every comment im only just after reading as regards the concours thing, apart from national day i dont think i would be ar**d with it again unless the class's change (expert), i dont see why like intermedate, they cant have pre 81 and post 81 in the traliered class, it would sort all this out, at least Ricky,Eddy, and myself and a few others would be competing against each other.
I also thought there were 5 placings for trailered class but, ( mabye im wrong) they only done 1st, 2nd and 3rd.

              Gerard.

RS concourse who needs it richard allways the same if it was left up to me the cars would be judged by the local group that holds the show so if we had been left to judge on Sunday the old skool would now be very happy bunnys indeed like i say concourse who needs it

What I like is Gerard brings his cars from over the pond for the last 3 years every time this mans had a knock back when he should have taken some chrome home
you know what he does not give a fcku he comes for the crack does not spit the dummy out like most do.
                      respect to this guy
I wish the RSOC would recognise what he and the others do fetching their RS cars across the pond.

                      regards

Not unless you think that those chromed pop bang wiz machines were of a better standard than any of our MK1 and MK2 entrants
