A very credible flywheel figure considering bore size, cam head and carbs, but , that would be an incedible @ the wheels figure on 45's with a standard crank and such a mild cam.

I would double check with the guy to be honest to see if they are flywheel figures.
If their not ill have ten engines like yours please as that is awsome power.

A great figure Dave, but I would have to agree with the above, surely this is a flywheel figure?

with the extra hp, you may be able to get another wheel off the ground

or all 4 at the lakes

spoke to hally this morning, hes been on a crash diet, said hes got you on "power to weight ratio"

I had to let someone else say it first, as I wasn't sure it was a Pinto.
Short answer is "no way" and someone needs to re-calibrate their R/Road. 190 at wheels would probably be 235 at flywheel - and that's just about the ultimate power for a "full-race" (totally undriveable on the road) Pinto.

                                Thanks Dave for the specsheet.
The RL31 is a nice cam: approx. 300 degrees and good lift which could give peak power at 6500 - 7000 rpm. Machining out chokes is a nono if you ask me; a mate has a proper flowbench and boring out 36mm chokes to 39mm showed no increase in flowcapacity. Don't know how much the octane booster is helping power (over 40 degrees advance full out??) but 190 at the wheels is a bit optimistic I would think.
Anyway, if it's to your liking, the exact figures don't matter.
