Think I`ve Bent A Rod!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Took the Mex out for a bit of a run yesterday, just up the road it started making a knocking noise fromm the engine .

Pulled up and the car stalled, would`nt even turn over after that - NOTHING!! Like it had siezed.

Managed to bump it, and the most disturbing noises were coming from the engine - rattling, grinding, knocking. Limped home - 2 minutes away - would`nt even turn over then, like something had fused inside the engine. After it cooled down it now turns over but wont fire up, but has a major squeel/squeek coming from inside somewhere.

I know somethings happened inside the engine, does anyone have any ideas before we start to strip it down.

Am determined to find the problem and have it fixed before friday.

have you checked to see if there any oil? what what oil do you use?

if you got fuel and spark,id check for compression

Same sort of thing happend on my 2000 and it was due to a servere lack (none) of oil

Might have been the same here Stu, so now i have to decide wether to have ANOTHER rebuild or buy another engine

One things for sure, the Mexico ain`t going to the Lakes this weekend
