Browsing through some stuff i came across the following in a FORD envelope dated 1972 (in mint condition by the way) hopefully it wiil be of use and finally put to bed who was / was not one of the early RS dealerships when they were apppointed in 1970 by the Ford Dealer Association

Heres one for you northern lads,
I noticed on the list that there was only one dealership in Derby!! but was told that there was a RS dealership in a place called Codnor just outside Derby is this correct
I also think there maybe a Tesco's built there now can anybody shed some light cheers

I know for a fact that VWM in Coalpitheath in Bristol is still there as filled up with petrol there not so long ago, VWM stood for Vince Woodman Motors

when did mike young (i think that s what he was called) start dealing in RS's was it only with the mk2's,i remember a couple of RS's up here that came from him and cause of that they were selling for silly money even then

Dovercourt Chelmsford now occupies the old Tricentol buildings - they are still Ford dealers

There was a ford dealership in Codnor back in the 80's think it was called Ellses ford. Don't know if it was a RS dealership or not, was going to buy a 16 sport in orange from them around 1984
You are right there is a Tesco express built where it used to be now
