No not really. Many have been disappointed by this book but the simple fact is that JYS's active race driving career, which we all wanted more detail of, was but a small part of his life. I have reviewed this book on TNF, where some pretty important authors post. There was general agreement that the book did not change the (favourable) image most have of JYS. However, we did not really want to read an extended advert for the Mayo Clinic (not least because we mere mortals could never afford its fees) and even the most hardened Royalist might find his accounts of his links there a bit too close to vomit-inducing. He also appears never to have encountered anyone in "big business" who was not a saint. I have had remote dealings with two of his "sainted" business heros and in my view they were both despicable toe rags.
