Guys you can offer your support to Curborough by leaving your objection to the building of the proposed new housing estate on the Lichfield Council website. Access this via www.curborough.co.uk I did it and had an acknowledgment letter back yesterday. Come on lads get behind Curborough it needs protecting.

I'm a member of cannock and district car club and we have used curborough for autotests, sprints, testing and general club events for as long as i can remember. Up untill about 5 years ago we used to use it along with other local clubs on a wednesday night for what we called the club thrash.
This was stopped due to a new family moving in down the road and moaning about the noise even though it's been used for this type of thing since the war!!! We are only allowed on some saturdays and sundays now. The village of Fradley in the last 5+ years has been extended with houses, factories and the like, and to be honest ruined!! It doesn't look like it's going to stop. Thre has been many an ESCORT RS driven in anger around the famous track so please lads and lasses have your say on the site and you never know they might just see sense!! CHEERS!!

Including PHF"2" to a 2000cc Roadgoing class lead on it's very first appearance there.
The local authority are understood to oppose this development and it is essential all possible objections are registered, especially from far away, which can be done easily on line via the link. North Weald has so far been saved despite the local authority there being ready to keel over to the government so it is not inevitable that Curborough will be lost if enough object. This is almost certainly the most used (for actual competition) motorsport venue in the UK. Please take a few minutes out to help.
(and it is not an appropriate thread to turn into jokes, as has been done above: it is a very serious matter)

Guys the last date to lodge comments on the Councils website is this friday 25th April. Go to www.curborough.co.uk and access the council web site via that . Spend a couple of minutes putting something on there and hopefully this venue will stay in existence for many more generations of escort owners to enjoy.
