Theres nowt worse than them mooching fkn hillbillys. I had 2 rs2000's stolen in 4 days, had loads of security on them but was out for the evening and living at me parents at the time who are as deaf as fkn posts. Really feel for you fella. As said, get the number of the vehicle.

Drop a line to the feds any way, you might not be the only target and some one else may have got the reg number, chances are they'll say they cant do any thing but if its logged it goes in your favour. Insure the car just incase, I believe boncaster do an insurance for cars not used on the road. While your waiting for a chain etc, tie a bin and as much to the car as possible, if they try to move it or lift it the bins and stuff will fall over, make a hell of a racket and wake you up!

      Good luck

Years ago I had a GPZ900r nicked from my garage, it as about 60 feet from the house but nobody heard anything, I did get it back luckily (my Missus found it but thats another story) and after that I went to Mothercare and bought a decent wireless baby monitor, put the transmitter in the garage, and the receiver in my bedroom.

I could hear everything that went on in or near my garage at night from then on, and once went flying down there at 3am brandishing a baseball bat only to find a terrified hedghog had slid under the door.

It was a good cheap way of securing the garage at night, and if a rechargeable unit was used would work well in a car on a driveway/street too as long as it is within range, anyone starts moving the car or opening doors and you will hear it, if the monitor gets turned off or out of range it will sound an alarm at the other end too.

Of course it's no good if nobody is listening to the other end, and it would send you nuts if your car was parked in a busy street, but will work for some people
                      Regards

Install a removable security post on your driveway, in front of your car.

I'd be careful when taking any obvious (visible) security measures, as that might even raise their interest, i.e. whoever puts posts in his drive has got something worth nicking

stand in the garden dressed in a string vest with a samurai sword. Swing it about for a bit shouting weird things and stop every now and then to do 2 press ups.

                                that should do the trick
