    what are the costs involed in importing a escort from new zeland or oz,and is it worth the hassle,are there plenty still out there?

      first you have the cost of shipping, Allow £1000 although if your importing more than one you'll get a better price. you need to think about the type of shipping as well you can have it in a container at extra cost or out in the open, you then have to pay duty on the car when it lands on a uk dock, duty is based on the value of the car. you also need to purchase the car and have some one reliable to deliver it to the docks! all in all no its a real ball ache.

              Yeh, problem here is that the scrap steel market has gone berserk. People are throwing everything into the crusher. So many classic cars that may be past their use by date but would have plenty of spare parts potential. But I still have to agree with Mr Escort......no Escorts here anymore....
