  • Job Dilemma !

As most on here know I was made redundant New Years Eve Dec 2004

Set myself up as D&D Services - Recovery, Service, Repairs and MOT

Well having kept my head above water since then I am always on the lookout for a "proper" job

Today it has happened - I get a written Job offer !!

What I have got a problem with is one particular clause in the contract and I quote

"You will also be required to attend Track Days and corporate events as agreed,"

What am I to do ?

Cannot at this stage reveal the full extent of the job but advice listened to from you lot !

    job offer

Dave nearly all jobs now require you to go to such avents throughout the year ! but most of the time its not compulsary . I go away maybe once every couple of months ! sometimes one night or two nights stop over but it does you good a change of scenery now and again ! john

I think you missing the point Johhny

I as part of my job will HAVE to participate (F.O.C of course) in Track Day events - I dont know how ever I am going to manage !

At least it says "as agreed" which depending on the employer can mean anything from "attend or else" to "it would be nice if you could arrange your holidays around these dates" sounds alright, I suppose it depends how much you value your weekends and how often you're "expected" to attend

Dave, try to find out roughly how many of these days/events they want you to do. Sometimes these things are there to cover the company.
