Two rally cars stolen from barn
One of the cars is a prototype
Two rally cars described by police as "valuable and unique" have been stolen from a barn near Salisbury.
The vehicles - one of which is thought to be the only one of its kind - were removed from the structure in Old Malthouse Lane, Ford, on 1 April.
The prototype is a bright yellow Ford Escort Mk3 with the number 140 painted on the side in black.
The other is a black Escort MK2 with a horizontal white stripe under the windows. Both are marked with stickers.
The offenders are believed to have gained access via a track which leads from the A338 at Hurdcott.
They moved a cultivator out of the way before forcing entry to the barn.
Pc Mark Welch said: "The owner of these cars has spent years working on them. "He is a rally enthusiast and doing-up the cars has been a real labour of love. They are worth thousands of pounds each, but are irreplaceable to the owner."
