      76 to 78 I think????? (Someone will prove me wrong I'm sure) Production figures are around 2,400 cars All were RHD

              Your right kev but from what ive seen on the cars early ones seem pretty rare....i want a dec 1977 one if i can find one as it my bday then...mine is a may 78...think production stopped in sept 78....im sure brian will put up the link to the production time scales

                  according to a chassis plate decoder my mex was built in november 77 but it was registerd 1/1/78.

                  id like to know how many are still about.

                        weren't they available in '75? The RSII didn't arrive in dealers until '76 I know but not sure about the Mex

                              Same initial availability as the 2000, from Jan '76 and then production ceasing late Summer '78, whereby the RS2 Custom kicked in. Exact production figures for the Mex was 2290, which was pretty much 20% of overall RS2 sales. All (as Frosticles said) were RHD.
