My yellow Mk1 Escort Mexico, BCF 543L was stolen from off the drive last night. We're on the outskirts of Oldham/Ashton in Saddleworth.

I had been working on the engine, which has a bent valve on cylinder 3, the rocker gear had been removed. The Quaife 'box jumps out of 2nd, Sparco Evo L seats, front grille missing, brand new alloy rad, 4.4 LSD, fitted with Yoko 035s on Minilite replicas. Although it looks like a Mexico it's based on a 2 door 1300XL shell, if that helps.

Obviously if any is offered anything suspicious I'd be most grateful to hear, or let the police know.

sorry to hear of your loss mate ! ive just been to a house with my job in gatley manchester ! where two masked men booted the front door in ! ran into the house with machetties !!! and put a knife to the blokes throat and asked for the keys to his subaru ! then made off in it the bloke turned round and said to me why didnt they just ring the bell ? Anyway if i were you keep lookin on ebay in a couple of weeks for mk1 parts turnin up ? you might get lucky . john

i think they are stolen to break for parts,as we were saying on here the other day,they are worth more as parts,then they probaly scrap the shell's as there are so many people now talking to each other like on here,it's a small world when it comes to reto ford's!
and we would all love to catch the ****ers in the act!
