i have been trying to buy loads of stuff for my mexico and the price has just gone mad
if i was to NOT build my mexico and sell all the items off on ebay it will be worth more than the car is worth built

what can you expect on the one hand there are people that pay incredible sums for bits and then say afterwards that a car cost them X? to build (this has always been the case BTW) and then say that when they go to resell that it cost so and so to build.

All I can say is a resto or building a car to your own ideals costs, and you can't expect to get that back but spending in excess of 25 K on a MkII Escort is IMO obscene in itself, if people want to spend that then fine.

A lot of this "having to have" NOS items and bidding incredible sums for such parts on ebay only fuels the fire, if people are just step back a moment now and again it would bring the prices down 10-15 % and slow down some sellers demanding obscene amounts

Parts do seem to be stupidly expensive, and i for 1 am making do with parts rather than pay stupid money for them, if i see the parts i would like to change at the right money i will then buy them.
