Is this site slow or is it me

Having problems on here with computer
slow to load page
only some pictures show up
some smilies take ages to appear
when i post i get page not responding message.
only just started doing it about a week ago
computer did an update about a week ago
allowed pop ups

can any computer buffs suggest a fix.

slow here takes ages to load pages and opens with errors, even the reply age as taken 3 mins to open

Occasionally so slow, that I have to abort and call it up again.

Also, since a couple of weeks, the pages keep refreshing every 10 seconds or so causing everything to "blink".
