    4500 miler she was

Had paint though from standard, which i believe alot of them did, as when Ford decided to sell them off, they had been knocking around the factory for bit and then got stripped apart and put back together, as most of them got thrown together to complete the 200 so they could go rally and then had to put together properly to sell them.
She had 4500 miles on her.
they used a 250bhp to get through new car regs. then converted most them to 300 bhp via injectors and exhaust swop, the car was sold by Ford in Blackpool , Thomas motors i think? having a blank now on the name as they used to sponser people in rallying as well.

Got a load of Factory photos of the cars being built I can put on if anyone is interested ??

            Very nice RS200

I might be wrong but, didn't the factory where the 200's were made, set on fire, and they had to move all the 200's quickly or they would of all been lost ? I think it said this in classicford mag

I think this car was originally sold Peter Clarke of Yorks around January 1987.
December 2006 - Thanks to people who emailed me the following information, Pete, you were first as usual ! LOL..
#108 has surfaced, not that I have seen it in the flesh to verify it but, if you believe everything you read it is for sale in Autotrader for £100,000. If the link is dead I have saved the page here for you. It says....
"1986 D Reg FORD RS200 Group B Rally Car2 Doors, Manual, Fastback, Petrol, 900 miles, Original Ford Gel Coat White. I am delighted to be able to offer for sale this very special Group B rally car, number 108 of only 200 ever produced. This particular car has just one former keeper, TOTALLY ORIGINAL, ORIGINAL TYRES - JUST BEEN STORED BY A COLLECTOR IN A HEATED GARAGE - NEVER BEEN MODIFIED OR MOLESTED - This car is the most frightening car I have ever driven, 0 to 60 mph in under 2.1 seconds, Four wheel drive, 250 BHP, Part exchange welcome. All major credit cards welcome. (LIBRARY PHOTO - AWAITING PHOTOGRAPHY) £100,000."

I think he might need a new stop watch, 0-60 in 2.1 sec in a 250 version - Down a big hill ? LOL
If you find any further info on this vehicle please email me on justin@rs200.org
              Thanks,

              Justin Smith

still amazes me how they threw them together over a year long period - all those 200 off bits to make, source and stick together
