Some of you may have seen my introduction a month ago in the newbie section about me finding an RS2000 that had been stood for 15 years in a barn.
Since then I have rebuilt the front struts, replaced all braking components, full service of engine, welded up the fuel tank well and lots of niggly jobs.
On saturday I took it for it's MOT but not just its maiden voyage but also the first time I have driven a classic Ford. I am not sure quite why I am so passionate about owning one but as soon as I pulled out of the gates to head to the MOT station I knew why.
It passed with no advisors and the chap that did the MOT was the last person to MOT it in 1992 when it was put away so a nice coincidence. So straight to the post office and got some tax and have put 150 miles on the clock in 2 days.
What a cracking car, I havent stopped smiling all weekend. Thanks all for your help and I hope to be able to return some of the good advice I have already been given.
Thanks.
