Lakes Tour security

After hearing that a growing number of car's are being stolen, im a little concerned about security for our cars during the lakes weekend, like me i would think a few are staying at the travel lodge, does any one know of some secure parking near by or any ideas on making sure that the cars are safe, any coments would be appreciated as i don't know the area,

why not park your car at the heaves over night as we will all be there camping, not best but at least like minded people will be able to keep a look out
