I would love an rs1600i myself, think they are underated living in the shadow of the rs turbo.

They have grown on me in the past couple of years.....an influence of Oldskooljoe and his Ole'man. Still a bit modern, but nevertheless nice cars.

I've owned 2 rs1600i's really good car's with fantastic handeling, seemed to be underated in the past, but I think they are now getting the recognision they deserve, they could do with more power and better brakes though

I love my Dad's blue RS1600i but not as much as the MK2.
Brakes and power are the weak points as Fruitbat says but love the shape and overall look.
Very comfy too - great seats!

Aled - nice to see they are growing on you too...........

Nice cars, and certainly the best seats that Ford have put in an RS.

I have had 2, a restored white un, and more recently Customs old Pearl flip purple one with a 1.8 zetec inside.

It was for sale on ebay only a few weeks ago, sold for £1400 I think.. I got loads of pics of it, it came with a CD of the resto, which was done by Dave who runs this site.

After a mk2 my next choice would be a 16i or series 1 turbo, cracking looking cars.
