I've seen that done before, infact I think there used to be a glassfibre panel available from Ford to do that very thing.
I've got a picture in an Escort book somewhere, and funnily enough I have a pair of front wings already cut up to make the front corners out of, as I was going to flat front my white RS2000 !
Logical enough, as it allows for simple conversion back on a genuine RS2?
I believe "Group H" is the German competiton terminology for any non-GroupAorN class car (as is Group R in Belgium etc). No UK equivalent, just "club spec", although sometimes "GroupB" is erroneously used here for non-currently homologated cars. Most UK competition cars "flat fronted" from genuine RS2s were converted following shunts that required new wings anyway.....!
Rob, the picture you refer to is in the book 'Escort Performance' I think thats what its called , has a front on shot of a red X pack on the front cover. Somewhere near the back is a white escort with the same front end treatment . Makes a change , I think someone should fit one over here and see the concours judges wriggle !!!!!!

That's the one Paul
I tried to find my copy last night, but it's gone missing (along with 3 x 69 litre tanks and a box full of new Gp1 air filter elements )
I am still toying with the idea on my white RS2, I've got a new grille, really nice white Mexico spoiler, excellent bonnet, new quarter bumpers, new round headlamps and indicators - shall I do it ?
yes mr hoarder do it, then slap forrest or tarmac arches on it, then a replica decal kit...... btw, does flat fronting an rs2000 seriously de-value it??
