Pembrey stages

Hi all,I went to spectate at pembrey today,weather was spot on and the old escorts were flying,a very enjoyable day,here's some pics.......

I did'nt get to see this mk3 gatrac escort in action as it retired on the first stage with engine problems,it was running a nissan lump

The G3 is running a Nissan 240 RS engine ex Gwyndaf Evans car. Goes like stink when it's on song. Has alot of engine problems though usually head gaskets.

it was built and run by Gwyndaff evans (No NOT the Gwyndaff Evans) but chap from cardigan by the same name, was quite a quick car in the late Eighties, not sure what Gwyndaff is up to these days though, used to see him out regularly

The VLE you see there is not THE VLE, but I think 966 X, which originally was run by John Collins - brother of Phil, and latterley owned by the guy that runs the Welsh Escort challenge, he comes on here so Im sure he `ll fill all the details in
