Aah yes of course, you're dead right. When did they arrive, about 76? I never liked those things, they always felt quite harsh and crude with that horrible Valencia engine.
The Chevette was a great car, superb handling - spoiled again by a dreadful engine.
I was looking though a 1973 new car price list the other day - the Mexico was a bargain really. Cheaper than a 1750 Maxi or a basic 1800 Marina. No wonder they sold so many. I bet Ford really regret shutting AVO now, they could really do with something special and cheap for the yoof to buy.
