good thread, made me feel quite envious to realise people have been out enjoying their cars in the sunshine. must be a good car if it got you back home.

Great fun was had by all, we all took it in turns to drive.

The car did not miss a single beat. It is smooth on the straights, planted in the bends and has a fantastic set of retrimmed seats (front and rear)

Hats off to Carlo for a lovely job sorting the car out

It needs the rear arches massaging slightly, as the tyres were catching with the full load of lardy Essex boy (me) in the back

Broad stripe on order, new door cards already sorted (as it had a remote mirror hole in the o/s but no remote mirror)
              Cheers Rob.

It was a top day out, and all went without a hitch !

told my other half we are going to Scotland to pick up a mk2 that passed it's MOT Monday after a rebuild that Gary won on ebay that he had never seen, without checking return flights and driving it home 3 up 450 miles and told her I'll be home by 8

                            she didnt believe me

alright I was one hour late but I reckon thats pretty good going considering the way these things normally go

Big thanks to Carlo for being a bloody nice bloke

and the car drives spot on, gave me a proper taste for the lakes now, BRING IT ON
                            Cheers Glyn
