advice on engine pick up

Hi

Does anybody have any advice on how i can go about picking an engine up from a seller in devon and delivering it to cumbria.
I was thinking of postvan.com or similar courier but i dont know if there are any special requirements like it has to be on a pallet etc, its drained of fluid and stripped for inspection if that makes any difference.

i used a guy from inverness who covers the whole country,he charged me £100 to deliver a motocross bike from cumbria to southampton,i will try to find his number and get back! Edd.
