  • Remanufacture

Gents, I have made some casual enquiries to companies regarding remanufacture of the rubber gaiters that protect the handbrake lever on the rear axle brake back plate. Have had one reply back so far, initial tooling isn't cheap but they originally quoted against a larger item, I have corrected this and sent them pics of the item, awaiting further info from them.

Secondly, mudflaps , very thin on the ground but surely something easily remanufactured ? The problem I see is copyright on the embossed Ford logo, unless the company is a bit easy going ......, might have to look into this one.

Is there a market for these and if so what would you be willing to pay for

    A. 1 pair of rear brake gaiters
    b. 1 set of 4 mudflaps

    cheers, Paul

unless the items are brand new dont bother as the moulds would have to be 100% perfect. Ive looked into remanufacturing parts & as Ive discovered nothing is cheap. Look into eastern european countries to get the stuff made as the costs in the UK would not make it worth while .....but at east your on the right track of getting something done...hope it works out for you...

I had a feeling there would be another car with something that would fit, searched the TR7 ones on Rimmer earlier this week as their website is superb, have ordered two Stag ones and will compare them to Fords and post on here the results.

                          cheers, Paul
