I also know him but never seen the quality of one of his restorations so cant really comment on the quality of his work.

But If the parts he sells are anything to go by then i imagine the quality of his workmanship will be very good

Know him and seen his work. Went to his place about 10 years ago when he was building the "Brand new" yellow RS1600. Looked stunning. "Old Gold" was also there and looked great as well. (Just a bare shell at the time) (What ever happened to this?) He certainly knows his stuff as has been doing the Escort thing for ever.
