Ok, so I bought a new T.V just before xmas. I got a letter from T.V Licence people today saying we notice you bought a new T.V from the
Txxxxxy branch of comet and we cant find record of your licence!

What the hell? Maybe I'm getting old? Well I know I am but seriously!!!!

First thing is I do have a licence but more importanly who said they can pass my data around??

What is this country coming to?

I used to run a Currys Superstore back in the 90's.

All shops who sell TV's (inc portables) or Video Recorders have to fill in the customer details on a form that is sent to the Television Licence people.

They log your name, address, type/size of TV taken and date of sale.

It was a ballache that my admin team used to do once a month

this country is a ****ing joke you get stitched up when buying a tv but something important like a gas boiler well anyone can buy one and fit it (as long as nothing goes wrong) with out anyone knowing or without being corgi registered
