    75AB is Mk2, having said that some earlier parts were used on Mk2's so it could still be a relevant part, but one that was made for another car first.

              That's face lift Mk3 (twin arms?) same as Mk4/5 cortina, or is it just the stalk?

                I'm no expert but as far as I know "BG" decodes as :-

                "B" for Cortina "G" for German origin.
                BB would be Cortina British origin.

                Like wise
                AB and AG Escort - British and German origin.
                EB and EG Capri - British and German
                GB and GG Granada - British and German
                And I think V is Transit.

                I forget the rest, it's an old age thing.
