  • RS dealers Northern Ireland

    Hi All,

Probably a stupid question but was there only one RS dealer in Northern Ireland selling MK11 or was there more.

    Thanks,
    Errol

      Hello

      HI Brian

Guess it would be best to check with the dvla to find out which my car came from. Do you know of anyboady that might have the image of the original dealer stickers for either.

      Thanks,
      Errol

What reason did you use for requesting the information?

            Thanks

you have to have your name on the V5, as i tried to get it for my 16i and got the form back as they had not processed me as the new owner, the V5 turned up a day later , sent the V888 back again just waiting for the info now ,

                Hi Dave,

Thanks. No problem working with that. Were all dealer stickers about the same size. My dads car still has the original Donegal one and it looks smaller?

                Thanks,
                Errol

the sizes did vary, along with different shaped ones as well, oval wylies one for example,

With all the tarmac Escort development and knowledge base in Ireland these days, it may be worth remembering how rare and difficult it once was, north or south. I recall talking to an Eire crew (husband and wife) in a 1300GT on the RAC Rally (72?) who recounted having had to travel all the way to Lisburn from the far south to look at Shaun Maloney's car to understand how rear turrets were fitted.
Lindsay Cars was on Maloney's Escort then.

But they were not RS dealers where they Jim ?

Fergusons in Newtownards where an RS parts supplier but not RS car dealer as such

they had 10 7x13 wheels in boxes in their reception for £40 each just before losing the For franchise
