Eddie, i used spit and polish for my 6,s. The cutting was good, however, where they hung the wheels, the inside of the rims had marks. they werent interested in doing anything about this after chatting to the guy about them. He said, they werent interested in the concourse scene, "too much hassle" as i remember, so i ended up penciling them in myself. Wasn,t overly inpressed. I used Pristine wheels for my 7,s, and wasn,t overly impressed with them either. Sorry, this doesn,t really help. It appears if your looking for a special finish, your in trouble, if you find the norm acceptable, your home and dry.

i got my 7's done by s&p , they came up supa, but they do saem to have a few problems with the paint finish not being 100%, the polishing is like a mirror though, my paint is about 95% spot on but you would have to look hard , their attitude is a little off the mark sometimes , good luck mate

Hi Eddie, just put some 6x13 rims into a place a couple of units down from G+S (Grahams)in Widnes.
The place has recently opened and I think is being run by a guy who used to work for the guy who owned pro clean in prescot before it shut.
He's done a couple of sets for Graham and I think they looked quite good.
Might be worth checking out as they're close by, and given the cust service issues from the previous posts, with him being a relatively new business I would have thought he would be eager to please.
He'd done some laser alloys which were waiting to be picked up when I dropped mine in before xmas and they did look very good.
Maybe worth a visit/call. Not got his number but sure Graham could put you in touch.Roll on the Tour 2011

I think it is a case of sometimes specifying that you want a special job done and pay a little extra to get it. I did this with Pristine and supplied them with the correct paint code for 5 alloys it cost me around £360 all inc and the finish was great also the insides of the wheels came back beutifully finished with no marks etc and the polishing was mirror and no flaws so I was impressed with them.
One thing I do know is that Lepsons have all the correct Ford Paint codes so the match they do off the shelf is really good.

I recently had a set of Rials (3dr Cossie etc) at S & P and when they came back, the front of the wheels were really shiney but 2 of the centre caps were badly painted and there were patches on the rear where they hang them to paint them and when I complained, they said they would repaint the 2 centre caps but all the wheels they do have "bald" patches on the rear.
One month down the line and 1 dry trip to Brunters and I got the car out only to see that the laquer on all 4 wheels was beginning to lift. It took a lot of cursing and cajoling to get them to pay in total for the tyres to be removed, the wheels sent back, refurbed and refitted/balanced and still came back with bald patches on the inside
The next set I got done went to Pristine who I have used before. When they came back, I did not open the boxes but sent them down to the local tyre place to have new rubber fitted. When I got them back, I quickly realised that the colour was a mile out, they were done in a light grey (almost like a primer) instead of a dark grey.
They said I must be mistaken and I told them I would send them a brand new, never been used spare for comparison. They did then agree to cover the cost of refurb but I sold the car in the meantime to a man from Norway wiv a big bag full of cash who did not seem to notice
I have seen many cars (3dr and RS500s) that have had wheels done at Pristine and are completely the wrong colour ....................
I will put my anorak back on now..................... lolBanned from the RSOC BB a second time and once again serving the longest ban .
