Well boys what a year it has been !
Looks like The Works Team web site is well on the way to being one of the best Old Skool website’s for the new year, plenty of new members joining daily even the rally boys are drifting in and over 300 visitors a day.
Well done to Custom for holding the BB (and the BBQ) together and Giz for looking after the programming, also a mention for Kel and his assistance with the site and who knows Mr Quattro may even make a return one day.
2007 – What a year !
Plenty of ups and downs throughout the year.
The weather played a big part to the outings this year being crap apart form Ford Fair which was too hot.
Lets start with The Lakes Tour – Steve and Bobs efforts on the greatest event of 2007 are well appreciated – this was the first time I have taxed a car for 6 years.
The Friday night in the Heaves Hotel did it for me, we had been pumping up the tour since Christmas 2006 and to get you guys in one place started the buzz for me.
The boys from over the pond, locals from Scotland and long distance boys from darn sarth you all made it – Great Effort.
Was it was the Magners that made me buzz or was it Lee Bishops Death Sauce ! most likely it was being able to put names to face's that made this BB all the more friendly.
The next day was the best day of the year for me, it was great to see all the cars round the lakes.
Big up for Ogi and his team see you next year
Works Team stands where present at a number of shows through out the year most been very wet. Brook meadow Saturday night was a excellent turn out best part was the raffle then on to the AVO day with excellent turn out and voted best stand.
Plenty of action on the BB we had the business man of the year being banned we will not go into the blue stripe ( but nice to see it at the heaves),
Worthers (what an ending did it sell ? – who has it now ? – will we ever see it again ?)
Plenty of action in the forest with the Mexican and the team maybe the RAC next year the track boys out with the wheels of the ground
Keep the winders coming Phil rs and your mate RSendout be nice to see Pauline in a thong though !
Big thanks to
Grum for the paintings (might get one myself next year )
BIG Up Mogsmex for the Calendars Top Man
one for the King long distance travelled for a MK2 Escort door
if I have forgot anyone see me at the bar at the Heaves magners on ice
All the best for the New Year
regards
D
