Transport (courier) to me is 392,70 euro.
Total amount for 50 covers is 6938 euro.
If we order he wants 50% of that upfront.
Oh price of fitting kit has gone up; now 35 euro (gasket, 10 allen head bolts, long allen key).
The 130,90 for one cover must be incl. VAT I think, otherwise it's just the same as buying one! If we can order them without VAT then the price would be 110 euro.
What do you all think?
Considering the original price is 150 euro, 130 euro is just a 13% discount.
And 392 euro for transport is alot.
rwdrs: can you find out what Hermes charges if they pick the lot up from the company and deliver it to a German-address??
For the Covers alone (on an order of 50) it works out at £103.36 (£87.97 exc. Vat)
If you add in the Fitting Kit it is and extra £26.07 (£22.19 exc. Vat)
So total would be £129.43 inc. Vat (£110.15 exc. Vat) plus shipping to the UKCheers

As the Rocker Cover supplier advertises on the net may I suggest he is "invited" onto this BB and he can show goodwill ensuring you all of his ability to deliver nearly 7000 euros worth of goods !
Personally I would prefer he agrees a Rallye Sport Escort price and charges and delivers each one individually when and only when they are READY to ship and NOT an undisclosed time after 3500 euros have been handed over ! (the guy has got to make them after all)
Remember you guys are the sellers customer and make sure you are treated accordingly
Put another way - Lets buy 100 items off Burtons (other parts sellers are available!) we all agree a group buy discount
When items are ready to ship we pay Burtons - simple !
I know what I would say to Burtons if they wanted 50% up front for the order - Burtons is a business they fund their own business and surely they do not rely on its customers "deposits" to operate !
Treat the seller of the rocker covers as a business !

Quite, that's what I was thinking myself.
That's another reason why I thought it would make more sense for me to handle the payment.
I would agree to sign as contract for an order of 50 covers, and we could still "front up" 25% as the outfit sounds to small to order 5K's worth of gear from a supplier and be left sitting on it all.
I would have been happy with €125 with MwSt (VAT) but 20% off (€120 inc.) would actually be more like it for an order of that size though.
Other way out of it is to ask the bloke where he gets 'em made if he's not willing to risk it.
Obviously I don't want to go signing up for 5-7 K of debt but I think you boys wouldn't stitch me up and if not I'm sure there'd be a few EBAY takers
If we can save the VAT, i.e. somebody wants to explain how it would work I'm sure we can get that sorted too
