that siggy pic of yours looks ok - seen bvr's on lots of cars and like someone has already mentioned, white looks the best imo

i think BVR on a white rs2000 looks the best, doesn't suit all colours but defo white imo

You could tack weld a cover over the roof,hide the welds with filler then add a tacky vinyl roof.That would sure hide it.
I think vinyl roofs are horrible a tacky period piece that should be confined to the dustbin of history.
A smooth roof means a faster car with a lot less drag.Good luck with the roof change.
